Unsung heroes impact us everywhere we go; just like Lamson and the quest for sea gravity measurements, we can’t function without them. Who are some of these heroes? While scientists get the credit for creating vaccines, who is but to provide this data, none other than human testers? Those responsible for consensually (and unfortunately, nonconsensually) giving their bodies in order to determine the safety and efficacy of a drug are the reason we are able to determine if a vaccine is ready to be distributed to the rest of the population. In present day context, now more than ever are volunteers needed to test the developing coronavirus vaccines, so that the pandemic will end. Sometimes the most important people of a group are simply just those without years of medical training and doctorate, but just any other profession.
